Celebrate Diwali in Style at Sopwell House’s Festival of Lights

A Lavish Celebration Of Diwali Traditions

Sopwell House hosts a vibrant Diwali celebration featuring exquisite Indian dishes, live entertainment, and a spectacular firework display, blending tradition with luxury for an unforgettable evening.

Sopwell House, Hertfordshire’s luxury country hotel, is set to host its annual Festival of Lights celebration for the third consecutive year. On Saturday, October 18th, the hotel will come alive with the vibrant energy of Diwali, offering an evening of culture, gastronomy, and spectacular entertainment.

This special event promises a feast for the senses, featuring a reception of expertly prepared Indian canapés from street-style vending stations. Guests will then be seated in the elegantly decorated St Alban Suite, transformed for the occasion with stunning florals, chandeliers, and sculptural table arrangements.

The culinary experience continues with an indulgent, authentic Indian feast. Highlights of the menu include Hyderabadi Mutton Biryani paired with aubergine masala; the ever-popular Old Delhi-style butter chicken; a rich Malabar king fish curry; and the aromatic, slow-cooked Dal Makhani, simmered for 24 hours. Street food lovers can enjoy delectable Chaat dishes and freshly made Mysore dosas from live Tawa stations, with signature toppings such as Paneer Bhurji, Potato Masala, and Keema Matar.

But that’s not all—the Festival of Lights promises an immersive celebration of life, love, and light. Guests will be entertained by a lively DJ and the electrifying beats of Dhol drummers playing Bollywood hits and other festive tunes. After dinner, the evening will move outdoors to Sopwell’s beautiful landscaped gardens, which will serve as the stage for an incredible firework display. Guests can then dance the night away to music under the stars, with celebrations continuing until midnight.

Tickets are available for £139 per person, with a special children’s rate of £99. Groups of ten or more can enjoy VIP perks for £129 per person, which includes premium seating near the dance floor and two bottles of champagne for the table.

Whether you’re looking to indulge in extraordinary culinary delights or enjoy an unforgettable celebration, Sopwell House’s Festival of Lights is an event not to be missed this autumn.
