Turning Everyday Family Adventures Into Heartfelt Lessons For Children Everywhere
Three Peas in a Pod transform real-life adventures into uplifting stories that teach kindness, creativity, and curiosity, inspiring children and families to make the world brighter together.
Three Peas in a Pod—an extraordinary family team—transform everyday adventures into heartfelt lessons about kindness, curiosity, and creativity. What began as simple car-ride stories has blossomed into a vibrant world of books, videos, and hands-on projects that encourage children to find joy in learning and compassion in action. Through humour, imagination, and a beautiful message of positivity, this family proves that stories can plant seeds of change that grow far beyond the page.
Mosaic Digest proudly features Three Peas in a Pod, whose mission to “plant positivity” continues to inspire families, educators, and young readers around the world. Their work reminds us all that creativity and kindness flourish best when shared together.
Their storytelling radiates warmth and positivity, inspiring children to embrace imagination, empathy, and growth through joy-filled adventures and meaningful life lessons.
What first sparked the idea behind Three Peas in a Pod, and how did you realize it had the potential to grow into something special?
It all started during our car rides back and forth to schools and activities. We were always on an adventure and always eating in our long car rides…and our veggies were always getting dropped down to “the lost land below” (like the line in our book). We then began connecting these adventures and lessons in the car to everyday experiences. We wanted to show children and families, that growth happens in everyday experiences and in our hearts and actions too. From there, Three Peas in a Pod grew organically from bedtime stories and little adventures into a book, then a show, and now a community built on kindness and creativity. When we saw how much joy and connection it brought to others, we knew we had something special.

As siblings creating together, how do you share responsibilities when it comes to writing, illustrating, and shaping the overall vision of your stories?
Each of the “peas” has their own creative superpower! One might come up with the adventure idea, another helps with character expressions or silly lines, and the youngest often adds that unexpected spark that makes us all laugh. Mom helps tie it all together – guiding the story, designing the visuals, and keeping the heart of the message clear. It’s truly a team effort, and we love seeing how everyone’s strengths come together to tell one story.
Your motto, “For any negative action, plant a positive reaction,” is both powerful and inspiring. How do you bring this message to life through your storytelling?
We wanted to give kids a simple way to understand that they have the power to create good in the world, no matter what happens. In this story, the peas face a small challenge and learn that kindness, compassion, creativity, and fun can turn things around. We wanted our readers to see that whether you’re cleaning up a mess, helping a friend, solving a problem, or taking care of nature, our story ends with a positive action that grows into something beautiful.
How do you find the right balance between creating fun, entertaining stories for children and weaving in valuable life lessons they can take away?
For us, fun always comes first! If it’s not fun or relatable, the message won’t stick. We use humor, curiosity, and imagination to capture our audience and then gently weave the life lessons through the story. We like to think of our books and videos as seeds: kids may not realize they’re learning something right away, but over time, those lessons bloom.
You’ve expanded Three Peas in a Pod beyond books into videos, activities, and creative projects. What has that journey taught you about connecting with young audiences in different ways?
It’s taught us that kids love to do. They want to explore, build, plant, and create. Turning our stories into hands-on activities, coloring books, and adventures has made the message even more meaningful. It’s been amazing to see families send us pictures of their projects inspired by our story. It reminds us that connection grows strongest when imagination meets action.
What kind of response have you received from readers, parents, and teachers, and has any particular feedback stood out to you or influenced your next steps?
The feedback has been heartwarming. Parents tell us their kids are excited to read, teachers have used our book in classroom lessons about rhyming and kindness, and families often share how our book has inspired their children to write. One teacher told us her students want to start a “Positive Pea” board, where they post good deeds – that really touched us and goes in connection with our Seeds of Change video series, where we feature real people making a positive impact.
Have you ever faced creative disagreements or challenges while working together, and how do you overcome them while keeping the process enjoyable?
Absolutely! Three little ones working together is always high energy! Sometimes one of the peas has a completely different vision for a story or a video. When that happens, we talk it through and usually end up finding a middle ground or an even better idea. The rule is: everyone’s voice matters, and laughter solves almost everything. If things get too serious, we take a break, go outside, and come back with fresh energy.

What inspires the characters and adventures in your stories, and how do you ensure each new idea stays true to your mission and values?
Our biggest inspiration comes from everyday life whether it is gardening, hiking, helping others, and just being a family. The peas’ adventures often reflect real moments we’ve shared together or things the kids have asked about. We always make sure every story stays rooted in our mission: to nurture kindness, curiosity, and creativity. If an idea doesn’t plant something positive in the world, it doesn’t make it past the brainstorming stage.
How do you measure the success of your work—not just in terms of popularity, but in the positive impact it has on children and families?
Success for us is about moments.
When a parent messages us saying our story sparked a meaningful conversation with their child, or when a kid tells us they planted their first seed because of Three Peas in a Pod, that’s everything. Those are the moments that remind us why we started this…to plant something good that keeps growing.
Finally, what advice would you give to aspiring authors, especially those who want to create meaningful, uplifting stories for young readers?
Start from the heart. Kids can sense authenticity and they connect most with stories that come from real emotions and experiences. Don’t be afraid to mix silliness with sincerity, and always leave readers with something they can carry forward. Most importantly, keep creating together as a family or community because storytelling, at its core, is about connection.
