“When I started my first universe, it felt right to interconnect the worlds to keep readers invested in the characters and the rest of the world around them,” Saffire shared. One of her most notable works, Brothers Black: Wyatt the Heartbreaker, explores the emotional struggles and contrasting backgrounds of Wyatt and Nellie. Saffire explained that the character of Nellie is deeply personal, drawing from her own experiences, especially the loss of her mother. Through the journey of Wyatt and Nellie, Saffire hoped to convey a message of self-discovery and the importance of finding one’s way back to love and home.
