Carrie Strom Brings Legacy Of Excellence From Allergan Aesthetics To Hugel Inc’s Global Leadership

Carrie Strom, former Allergan Aesthetics leader, joins Hugel Inc as Global CEO to accelerate global expansion, driven by innovation, science, and Korean beauty standards in the medical aesthetics field.

Global medical aesthetics giant Hugel Inc. has announced the appointment of Carrie Strom as its new President and Global Chief Executive Officer, effective October 13, 2025. Strom, a seasoned leader in the aesthetics industry, will oversee Hugel’s global operations and drive its ambitious vision to expand its presence as a leader in the international market. Additionally, Strom is expected to join Hugel’s Board of Directors, pending approval at an upcoming shareholders’ meeting.

This major leadership move comes as Hugel continues to position itself as one of the fastest-growing medical aesthetics brands in the world, currently marketing its botulinum toxin products (Botulax® or Letybo®) in 69 countries and dermal fillers in 53 countries. Hugel stands as the market leader in botulinum toxin products in South Korea and is uniquely positioned as the only South Korean aesthetics company to have regulatory approvals in the United States, China, and Europe—the world’s three largest markets for aesthetics.

Carrie Strom brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having spent nearly five years as Senior Vice President of AbbVie and Global President of Allergan Aesthetics, where she managed an extensive $5 billion portfolio of powerhouse brands such as Botox Cosmetic and Juvéderm. Before that, she held leadership roles within Allergan’s U.S. Medical Aesthetics business and spent 11 years in sales and marketing roles at Pfizer.

“I am honored to join Hugel as the CEO and look forward to working alongside the talented and dedicated employees, operating team, and board of directors,” Strom stated in the announcement. “Hugel offers market-leading aesthetic products driven by science and the highest quality, which have always been grounded in Korean beauty standards. My priority is to build on Hugel’s leadership in South Korea and transform it into a global aesthetics powerhouse, raising the bar for how we serve customers and patients around the world.”

Strom takes the reins alongside Daniel Chang, the recently appointed head of Hugel Korea, and will lead Hugel’s executive team in spearheading its next phase of growth. Under her leadership, the company aims to expand its footprint in key regions, including the Americas, where Strom’s extensive experience in aesthetic innovations is expected to be a driving force.

The Board of Directors at Hugel expressed their confidence in Strom’s leadership. “Ms. Strom is a proven enterprise leader who we are confident will lead Hugel to the next level,” said Suk Cha, Chairman of the Board. “We look forward to accelerating our expansion in the Americas and other key global markets under her leadership.”

Hugel has been at the forefront of medical aesthetics innovation since its founding in 2001, specializing in injectables like botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid fillers, and skin boosters, as well as absorbable sutures and cosmetic products for skin rejuvenation. Driven by rigorous scientific research, training programs, and industry events, the brand has solidified its reputation for safety, quality, and innovation in the aesthetics sector.

With nine global subsidiaries across key markets such as the U.S., Australia, Canada, China, and Southeast Asia, the company has steadily grown its international presence. The appointment of Strom signals Hugel’s next chapter in becoming what the company describes as a “global aesthetics powerhouse.”

As the demand for aesthetic treatments continues to grow worldwide, all eyes will be on Hugel Inc. and its newly appointed leader to shape the next generation of beauty innovations.
