Binod Baral, Michelin-starred chef and global innovator, joins Taste London and Asia as Chief Food Critic, shaping food culture through reviews, editorial direction, and global culinary expertise.
London, UK Celebrated chef and global culinary innovator Binod Baral has been appointed Chief Food Critic for Taste London Magazine and Taste Asia Magazine, two leading international food publications under NewYox Media Group.
Widely regarded as one of Nepal’s most influential culinary figures, Baral’s career spans from his early beginnings in Malekhu to becoming Head Chef at Tamarind, the first Indian restaurant in London to earn a Michelin star. He later served as Group Executive Head Chef at the Bombay Bicycle Club, helping it become one of the most recognized names in London dining.
His expertise has reached far beyond restaurant kitchens. Baral has designed menus for prestigious events such as the FIFA World Cup, Formula 1, and UEFA Champions League, while also catering for over 80 international airlines.
In his new role as Chief Food Critic, Baral will lead editorial direction for both Taste London and Taste Asia, providing expert restaurant reviews Asian side, shaping critical standards, and offering a global perspective on evolving food cultures.
