Cyrus Todiwala Gives His Backing to Unique Culinary Tour of Odisha

A Journey Led By Dev Biswal

Cyrus Todiwala endorsed Chef Dev Biswal’s Odisha tour, celebrating authentic food and culture. The unique 12-day journey features markets, tribal traditions, eco-tourism, and special tastings at Café Spice Namasté.

Renowned chef Cyrus Todiwala OBE DL, famous for his pioneering work in Indian cuisine and sustainability, has endorsed an exciting culinary tour of Odisha, India, organized by Chef Dev Biswal’s travel company, The Cook’s Adventures. While Todiwala himself won’t lead the expedition, his support underscores the tour’s focus on authenticity, exploration, and cultural richness—hallmarks of his culinary philosophy.

The Odisha tour is set to uncover the hidden gems of one of India’s least-explored regions, offering participants the chance to experience its local markets, tribal traditions, and rich culinary heritage.

To celebrate its launch, Café Spice Namasté in London will host a special six-course tasting menu event on Thursday, November 14. The evening will showcase flavors from Odisha and include a presentation of the tour’s itinerary. Priced at £95 per person, tickets are now available at www.cafespice.co.uk.

The 12-day tour is scheduled to begin on January 14, 2024, and will be led by Chef Dev Biswal, who is originally from Odisha. Highlights of the itinerary include food experiences with local chefs, visits to bustling spice markets, eco-friendly accommodations, tribal community engagements, and interactions with farmers and artisans.

“This journey is all about authenticity and exploration, which are values that deeply resonate with me,” commented Cyrus Todiwala. “Travel and food are inseparable, and this Odisha adventure offers a rare chance to experience a rich culture through its traditions and cuisine.”

Chef Dev Biswal, founder of The Cook’s Adventures, expressed his excitement about the collaboration. “It’s an honor to have Cyrus’s support. We share a vision for exploring culinary heritage and creating meaningful connections through food. This tour reflects that passion,” said Biswal.
